Philip has mad skill!

Philip has been creating award winning glass art for 40+ years. He has mastered stained glass, Fused glass, sandblasting and Glass Blowing as well as other art mediums. He has built Rainbow from a passion of glass. His ability to mentor  and inspire students keeps students coming back for more.

​Dr. Shelly Palmer is a registered art therapist and an associate marriage family therapist. Dr. Palmer's style of teaching is "All In". Her passion is helping others. As Phil and Hazel's daughter she grew up at Rainbow and knows how to build the most stunning stained glass projects. Dr. Palmer has tons of tips and tricks to share. There is no other instructor on the planet with the amount of energy, humor, and caring as Dr. Shelly. Shelly received her Masters of Marriage Family Therapy / Art Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University and her Doctorate in Art Therapy Psychology from Dominican University of California where she pioneered research on the therapeutic properties of glass. 

Gullaga AKA - Kelli (who is Phil and Hazel's oldest daughter and Shelly's sister)lights up the room with her energy and passion for fusing. You will never hear a "no" from her... only a "great idea, let's try that," and add a prayer for good luck as the kiln lid closes. 
 

Sandie came to glass in 2014 by accident.  A friend and I signed up for a glass blowing class together as something fun to do, a “once in a lifetime” opportunity.  I had no idea that the first dip into the molten glass would ignite a passion in me.  I couldn’t wait for the next class and then the next class. As the opportunity arose, I was able to help guide students and assist with the many jobs in the hot shop.  Working with students is just as rewarding as creating something for myself. I love to see the smiles on the students' faces when they come to pick up their projects. Over the years, I have met some truly remarkable and talented people.

My love of glass does not end with glass blowing.  I enjoy fusing glass, mosaic glass, pulling vitrigraph, sandblasting, and learning new techniques. It would take many lifetimes to learn everything there is about glass.

From the very first day I walked into Rainbow Glass in 2014 to the present, I still get butterflies thinking of working in the hot shop. Glass art is for everyone!  Come take a class.  It will change your life! 

With thousands of hours at the torch, Rory has honed his craft working with both soft glass and borosilicate (boro) glass. His specialty lies in the meticulous art of dot beads and the luminous beauty of dichroic glass beads, where precision meets creativity in every piece.

Whether working with the vibrant colors of soft glass or the crisp clarity of boro, Rory brings technical expertise and artistic vision to each bead he creates. Rory is also extremely proficient in giving high fives, which is clearly an essential part of the craft and of learning!

Karen is a long-time resident of Rainbow Glass, known for her creativity and willingness to help others. Her passion for supporting students as they embark on their journeys is truly inspiring. Whether it's offering guidance or sharing innovative ideas, Karen is always there to lend a hand and make a difference.

Samir is an avid ceramist and extremely passionate about working with glass. Samir has become an integral part of Rainbow Glass Inc. His art can be seen as samples for many of our new and exciting classes. Samir is also an amazing photographer whose photography can be seen advertising our new classes.

Linda is an award winning artist. She has traveled the world learning concepts, approaches and skills from international artists. 

After visiting Rainbow Glass and falling in love with Hazel & Phil she made the choice to become part of the teaching team. And Rainbow is very happy to have her.
